Good Old ORKUT

Any one out there remembers ORKUT ?

I am now suddenly yearning for the good old Orkut where you could rate your friends as "Cool", "Sexy" and "Trustworthy" .. everyone would have 'stats!!' 1700 scarps ... 100% sexy .. et cetera ...

You could write testimonials for each other  .. fondly called as 'Testis" (we were VERY innocent back then :) :) :P)

How everything was new for us how everything was cool .. there wasn’t any of that hip or sophistication of facebook or linkedin .. Everything was raw everything freshly baked and served without frills..

I especially love the "Bad Server .. No donut for you" errors message. LOL.

The tab were you could have a crush on someone and if that special someone added you as a crush as well .. Voila!! Cupid sends a message to both the love offenders .and we have a crush couple!!. What an innovative Idea :) 

It was the first place many of us found literary inspiration..... it was the first true tool of self expression before blogging was big ... It gave shysters like us a framework to get busy expressing!!

Those were our days of innocence maybe I am not missing orkut MAYBE I am missing what orkut stands for.. "Secret crushes, BFFs.. and 'Fraindship' requests from shady guys :)

I say we go back there in the empty streets of orkut for its pure vintage, nostalgic value ..

I suppose its needless to say .. I love orkut.. I was one of the first ones to leave it for FB and I want to come back
